Baker Lily Vanilli is inspired by Wayne Thiebauld’s pop-art paintings of mass produced food.

Lily takes you on a trip to what inspires her with making her cakes. Searching for visual references to spark her latest project, she goes to Indian sweet shops and unusual cake shops. Her final creation is a Thiebauld inspired cake, individual cakes: a modern day take on tradional landscape photography.

What I really think it’s interesting about the video is that Lily says that there is a crossover between baking and photography. “It’s the balance between having the right tools and how to use them”
Captured with the new Canon Eos M, Lily and 4 other talented people show their stories shot with the camera. You can find the other video’s here.
